I bought these for storing oils and sauces for an upcoming hike. It's important that they don't leak - the cap tips fit and snap securely and are attached with a band so they don't get lost. If you fill the bottle, hold it upside down and squeeze hard it will drip a little, but aside from that, no drips - a leak in a backpack can be a disaster and it looks like these should pass muster. One of the most important features for hiking is their weight - under an ounce apiece which I think is excellent.Their website has instructional videos for properly cutting the tips - it looks like their customer support is top-notch.
