I first bought two LL140 RGB fans separately for a new build. It was a bit cheaper that way, but there was no information that you can't run them normally without Node Pro or Commander Pro. Dissatisfied. In the end I decided I would have some spares and bought the two packages that came with Node Pro. The installation of the fans themselves went well, but the documentation that came with the fans was pretty vague and I had to go online to keep up to date. Make sure the Hub and Node Pro are properly configured. If you prefer to keep cables tidy, note that these fans require a small nest of cables to connect to. My biggest problem with these fans right now is the ICue software. When I first booted up a new system with fans and installed Corsair Vengeance RGB RAM and nice lighting on the motherboard I was very pleased. Everything worked and looked great. I then installed the ICue software to further customize the effects. Upon reboot, the fan in the second position refused to even turn on. It moved the air but didn't glow. With the first fan and RAM sticks I was able to vary the lighting effects. But the second fan. Nothing. I've tried all the usual substitutions to no avail. ICue even saw the fan and gave me options but did nothing. I then searched the internet for information on ICue problems. Apparently, some Windows creators have experienced crashes after installing this software. Some have completely stopped working fans. I decided to remove the fans, reconnect them and get out of there. The problem remains. This build is for a friend and I don't want to keep messing with it for fear the fan will actually stop moving air. For now it remains functional but not beautiful. What I paid for Until I installed ICue, both fans ran at least in rainbow mode by default. Now only one. Considering what I was hoping for and what it cost me, this should have been a lot better. Can't say anything about durability as it's a brand new system. If they die from it, as others have said here, then these fans are a potentially huge waste of money. Disappointed in Corsair. I buy many of their products.
