Although I should have bought a DA buffer rather than a rotary buffer because I am concerned about my own inexperience with polishing, this JUSTOOL buffer proved to be very easy to use and intuitive to use. use. It's not particularly loud - the same sound as, say, a circular saw before cutting. I was able to polish and buff 10-15 years of oxidation on a kayak in three hours with four pads. I had no problems with the velcro pads - they held the pads very firmly and attached/detached to the polisher with no problems. Note that as other reviewers have said, the included pads are fine for starter pads, but don't hold up well on surfaces that aren't 100% smooth. Two of mine fell apart very quickly. I recommend buying a separate pair of pads for anything larger than a small project. Nevertheless recommendable.
