Advantages: simple instructions, arrived quickly, most can be disassembled if desired. A tremendously precise duty to set deadlines! Cons: Exceptionally poor quality control, cheap materials and manufacturing, slightly misleading description. Many of the parts arrived warped so they didn't line up quite right. The idler pulleys aren't actually fixed, so it's impossible to try to keep them in place while keeping the crankshaft and camshafts in sync. We spent more time going through and debugging those few steps, which more than tripled the build time. Eventually gave up, threw it in the trash and instead found an old lawn mower to study with. I can't stress enough how disappointing this was for us. The description mentions over 500 pieces to assemble. Of course the one I ordered is exponentially more than it is now, when I recreated it with a sledgehammer the box clearly only says 270+.
