Review on 🍲 High-Quality Küchenprofi Plane with Pusher: Stainless Steel German Spaetzle Maker, Dumpling & Potato Ricer by Dan Husband

Perfect and couldn't be easier to use!

I've never made spaetzle but always loved it when I ate it at restaurants. Unfortunately, there are no German restaurants here, so I decided to learn how to make them myself. It didn't make sense for me to buy the cheap version as I'd rather put it in the dishwasher than one that would need to be replaced relatively quickly. It is carefully finished, with no seams in the metal that would come in contact with the dough in normal use) and very well made with high quality materials! I can't believe how easy it was to make delicious, properly seasoned homemade spaetzle with this spaetzle maker. I kneaded the dough (1 cup flour mixed with a pinch of salt, a little freshly grated nutmeg and a few rounds of ground pepper, made a nest in the flour, then mixed with 2 eggs beaten with 1/4 cup milk and added more milk until it dripped off the spoon in a thick strand like pancake batter and let it sit while I brought the salted water to a boil, forming cute little dumplings/noodles and hardly having to move the funnel which slid in very easily. The whole process went like this fast that the metal didn't have a chance to overheat and the spaetzle were cooked in about two minutes after they all surfaced to the surface. After draining, I fried the spaetzle in oil until they started to lightly brown ( Next time will I add onions) much easier to make than I thought and we really liked them.Just took the spaetzle apart, washed both parts and put them in the dishwasher machine given. I'm so glad I didn't buy a cheap model that doesn't hold up well or is difficult to clean as I'm sure it will have many uses!

Pros
  • Great for a small home
Cons
  • A dodgy purchase for seniors
