Easy Installation: Parts and Accessories

As long as the humidifier is positioned so that you can position yourself to look at the top, the water sensor assembly is very easy to install. Basically, with the power off, remove the cover (one screw), disconnect the sensor cable, lift the retaining clip, then remove the sensor and remove the two gaskets under the sensor. Then reverse the process to install the new one. All of these parts (except for the cover) are included in the kit, although you may not need to replace all parts, e.g. B. a screw or a retaining bar. (And yes, the -002 part is correct; it replaces the -001 part, which the manual probably recommends buying.) If the humidifier is so close to the ceiling that you can't look down at it, it can Problems come a little more complicated Note: You may need to remove the humidifier to change the assembly, as the pads in particular are difficult to touch. Before replacing the sensor, you may also want to file the old sensor's leads to remove carbon build-up, corrosion, etc. so they have a metallic shine. This may be enough to get the old sensor and humidifier working again.
