Review on 🍚 Aroma Housewares ARC-363-1NGB Rice Cooker: 3 Uncooked/6 Cups Cooked Multicooker & Steamer by Kevin Shimmens

I bought this rice cooker to replace my husband's old rice cooker. This one was a lot smaller, but we didn't necessarily need a huge one anyway. First off I have to say that the way the pieces fit together was very odd. It's weird that they don't match at all. The pan in the heating pad doesn't sit there at all and floats around like it's wobbly. The simmer pan fit on top, but we found that you couldn't add a lot of different ingredients to the rice because it just wasn't big enough for the rice, shredded chicken, and veggies we put in it. We wanted to put the steamer on top so we could cook the veggies there, but with just the rice and chicken we didn't have space for the steamer pan so we just put the veggies in the rice pot and left the tray. Anyway, after the cook cycle we checked to make sure it was doing its job well only to find the rice was burned. Not actually burned or anything, but it was burned enough to have a very distinct, slightly harsh taste. Needless to say we were not satisfied. We thought maybe we were expecting too much of it after cramming so much into it the first time, so we tried it again the next day, this time just with rice. It also turned out to be burned from below. That's when we decided to bring it back. Fair warning - remember how I said the pieces don't fit? It is almost IMPOSSIBLE to return this item in the original packaging. It took me about 45 minutes of trying to turn it back and forth, getting everything just right, before I could "mostly" get it where I could actually close the box. Overall I'd say it's just great. strange devices. And I didn't like the way he performed.
