Bought 3 of these 9x12 canvases to use as curtains to keep wood chips off my lathe. They are made from 8 ounce fabric and are true to size. Some others describe the smell. There was a slight odor when first opened, but now that they've been hanging for a while I can't smell anything. I would also like to point out that contrary to the description, some of them have seams that run the width of the 4 foot area. So keep that in mind if you plan to use them as seamless curtains. For my purposes this is irrelevant. But they are still of great value.
