I'm 5ft 6in, waist 27in and hip 41in and I bought the large one because of the length. Good: The length was great! I didn't want the skirt to wipe the floor. As I walked around I figured a large size would be in order (I was just making a very, very rough estimate based on the fact that I normally wear pants with a 32 -33 inches buy) . The plus size fell just below my ankles when I had the skirt around my waist, so it was perfect for slipping on. Not very good: I saw that the size of the strap doesn't change with the increase, but I thought the strap was elastic enough to fit me. Unfortunately, it was too tight for me, so if you're hoping for something stretchy to help with a waist over 26 inches, this skirt will only make you feel tied to roast meat. I guess it's my fault for not realizing that it should be comfortable for someone with a 23" waist and that it wasn't at least 23". Also, can't really complain about the quality, the fabric has a good weight and feel, but there's a lot of it. I mean a lot of stuff. You could probably make 3-4 lighter maxi skirts out of the fabric of this skirt. It was pretty cool at first, but in my day-to-day life it was kind of a pain. I had to lug it in my car every time I got in and out. I also live with a cat that I had to watch out for when I was walking by because she was trying to catch the lapels of the fabric as I was leaving. inches) and want a chunky, heavy but flowy skirt that will flutter as you walk.
