This is probably a good lock and would work for my purposes--securing an ebike in public areas in a rural college town. I chose this specifically for the length and security rating, and the intent was to loop it around the bike frame and through the front wheel. I have an Electric Bike Company Model R, so the (considerable) weight of the lock and chain was not a consideration.However, I was not actually able to use this lock because it is much too thick to be able to thread it through my front wheel's spokes, so it was completely useless to me. I ended up choosing another (but much more expensive) lock that is thinner and more flexible and returned this.
