Review on 🏍️ High-Performance Viking Cycle Warlock Mesh Motorcycle Jacket for Men – Detachable Armor, Ideal Summer Riding Gear by Paul Bijeaux

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Really good for the price

Some caveats: This is not what I wear to ride a bike. I also have a 25 year old Bates leather suit. It's kind of an experiment for mountain bike and park days. Preparing for a crazy descent is hard work; everything is separate. Put on back protection, elbow pads, t-shirt, then you will regret that I didn't have protection on my shoulders and chest. Thought it might be an alternative if all armor is integrated. Worn for runs in the Sandia Mountains, about 4,000 runs with 500ft of ascent, cliffs, vicious rock gardens, wet roots, steep chutes, you name it. The jacket turned out much better than expected. It breathes well, true to size (large in my case), has reasonable adjustments, and is fairly comfortable even climbing 10,000 feet. The fabrics used are surprisingly heavy (a plus in motorcycle accidents). And here's the downside: the armor is terribly inadequate, and it's sewn in with no pockets to add your own. The back pad just isn't long enough and is discontinuous with fairly wide gaps. The elbows and shoulder pads are flimsy and silly. The breastplate appears to be for visuals only. I have no idea what CE rating the armor can match. Is there a golf armor standard? In general, a great jacket, with no real armor. For a price like that I could cut and sew.
