I loved the personalized necklace I got for my baby shower and was dying to try making my own! After reading several how-to blogs and researching various kits, I didn't feel ready to shell out $250 for a kit sold by any of the major retailers. I bought this and although it's very difficult to line up all the letters I think it's worth the money. On more expensive sets, the letters are placed on the stamp the way they would normally be placed when writing: the lowercase y is not centered in the middle of the stamp, it's further down the stamp. The lower f is placed higher on the stamp. But in this set, all of the stamps are centered in the middle, so the artist has to compensate for the placement. Also, this set is 2mm thick, which is SMALL! Most hand stamped jewelry for sale on ebay and etsy is 3mm to 5mm in diameter. If you plan to oxidize your items, this size is fine. One of the great things about them is that each letter's slant is correct! IF you are looking to start selling hand stamped jewelry I would recommend getting a more expensive set if you just want to dabble in hand stamping then this set is for you!
