Following the instructions this product worked exactly as I had hoped. I used it to seal some seams on an old airtight wood stove that I had disassembled and sandblasted. It worked like a charm. First I wetted the metal, cemented the seams, assembled the cast iron plates, and then using nitrile gloves and wetting my fingertips smoothed out the excess and pressed the cement into nice fillets. I let it dry overnight and then painted everything black VHT 1200f. When I fired up the kiln, the cement and paint set, didn't crack or shrink, and everything looks fine.
