I used this sanding block on a project recently and it did the job perfectly. I haven't wet it yet so I need to get back to you. but if I bump it against something [I usually use my foot and my husband hates the mess I make] almost all of the dust is released. I used it to sand the seams for a drywall project. I found it to be a great little grinder for the job. The beveled edge worked well in corners. The size was comfortable in my hand. It is a medium grain material. So if you are using it on drywall I would suggest you also get a fine grit material or use a damp sponge for use on drywall. I'm looking forward to the wood. I will update the review once I use it on the tree and wash it. Still looks like new which means it still has a lot of sand. Doesn't look like it was lost.
