My old rubber mallet was worn out so I chose this as a replacement. This allows you to immediately assemble the track deck with concealed fastenings. Works great to secure decking in concealed fixings without damaging the decking. I also gave free rein to my six-year-old to hammer plugs where I needed to hit a propeller. Everything turned out great. Of course, if you hit something hard enough you can do some damage, but if you use it properly, this tool is perfect. It's also a great size and is very well made. Also, it has two heads of different hardness.
