The only reason it gets 4 stars instead of 5 is that even though the description says it's a US version and that it should come with a 3 year warranty, it is actually a gray market lens and the warranty is only 2 years - and it is not valid in the US as it is from a third party Revain supplier, NOT an OFFICIAL TOKINA DEALER. So beware buyers. However, this is an incredibly good, versatile lens. It comes with a lens hood (you can search the web for a demo on how to remove the lens hood as it's tricky but like me you can just leave it on all the time). Things you'll also want to know: the camera is hard to use, but when it's on everything seems fine; it doesn't have image stabilization, but it does have autofocus (to turn autofocus on or off, just pull or push the focus ring on the end of the lens); Aberrations are very noticeable at maximum magnification, but not very noticeable at other focal lengths; This lens may exhibit excessive flare and discoloration in sunlight/bright conditions; The lowest aperture you can use with this lens is 2.8. The color is beautiful, the focus is beautiful. This is very useful for astrophotography (you just need to set the focus to infinity, which is very easy as the lens has its own setting), as well as architectural interiors, close-ups and lately I've been using it a lot for landscape photography. As with any wide-angle lens, you should be aware that images can be slightly distorted, but you can learn to use this to your advantage. This is a very good, versatile lens.
