Review on πŸͺ‘ Convenient and Compact: Rothco Folding Camp Stool for Outdoor Adventures by Tim Beardsley

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Takes muscles to adjust but works well.

First thoughts - looks great! I love the woodland camouflage version. The fabric feels stiff and water-repellent. The tote is made from the same fabric and has a loop in the corner so it can be hung for storage if needed. I also like that it fits easily in a backpack without taking up much space. After actually setting it up for use I realized that the legs need to be REALLY squeezed hard for the connector to connect and it's almost impossible to get the hook past the first loop - so why so many loops? I wonder if it can stretch over time, but judging by the stress the fabric is taking, even if it can't support the weight, I suspect it may tear before it stretches. Maybe mine is broken. Anyway, I've used it a few times and so far so good. This is the ideal height when sitting in front of a Weber Mini Grill or around a campfire. Coleman makes an identical version of this stool and it's a lot cheaper. I'm not sure how much effort it takes to set them up, but I still can't justify the extra cost for the Rothco version. unless you REALLY like camo.

Pros
  • Great for outdoor activities
Cons
  • Not sure
