The product is a discontinued notebook series, replaced by the Y740 series with an Intel 10750H processor (22% performance increase). I chose this particular model based on the 512GB + HD 1TB, 16GB, RTX 2060 SSD capabilities compared to other Y540 models available. I mainly use this laptop for making music. It replaces the desktop mini PC and the much older Dell Latitude E6450 series laptop. Bottom line, the laptop can easily run all of my music software and associated hardware. I recommend it; You get more for your money. A NOTICE. The laptop comes with Windows 10 Home Edition. I don't remember being able to select Pro or Home when I added the laptop to my cart and checked out; In my haste to purchase this item, I may have overlooked this detail. Anyway, I pulled out my old Win10 Pro DVD and decided to upgrade to the Pro version. for RTX 2060/1660 Ti is not supported on versions before 1803. You'll see a plain Microsoft video adapter in Device Manager unless you go into the BIOS and enable the onboard Intel GPU as an alternate video adapter. Once you update Windows 10 to version 1803 or later (20H2 is currently the last major update), you can install GeForce Experience and the driver installer. I've spent quite a bit of time tracking down this information on the nVidia forums. this explained the problem and its solution.
