Pros: You can scan to JPG without using any software other than the one on your computer (Windows Paint in my case - couldn't get it to use LibreOffice or any other application) Cons : File/type mapping worked for me - scanning searchable PDFs is a must. Matching files and apps on this updated Win10 laptop I tested on proved extremely difficult. The device is pretty nifty, so be careful when moving the sliders to change the page size. Considering the price I wasn't expecting much. The software is supplied on a CD and cannot be downloaded. I set up an old laptop as a scanning station and it was frustrating to register for ABBYY Sprint OCR. As a result, I made the first scans in jpg format. Which is good for now. Other software is years old and thrown away. The device is compact. Paper size sliders require both hands. Business cards are placed in the slot but not laminated. The scan quality is acceptable. Didn't bother with photos. Now that I've played around with it, I'm ready to jump on the best software/document manager.
