Review on MSI MEG AMD X570 Unify AM4 ATX DDR4 Motherboard: Unleashing Next-Gen Performance by Pahal Bhatta ᠌

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Great value for money, one of the best offers.

For now, I won’t write anything special, because I just did the assembly, installed the latest drivers and BIOS for the current time, ran several tests, everything is stable, everything is fine. System: percent - Ryzen 9 3900x memory - G. SKILL Trident Z F4-3600C16D-16GTZ 8 GB*4 pcs. video - Gigabyte GeForce RTX 3080 GAMING OC SSD 1 - SAMSUNG M.2 970 PRO 500 GB (system) SSD 2 - SAMSUNG M.2 970 EVO Plus 1000 GB PSU - SeaSonic Prime GX-850 (SSR-850GD) 850W Gold case - Thermaltake A700 thermal interface - Thermal Grizzly Kryonaut "tower" - Noctua NH-D15 chromax. Black "turntables" - Noctua chromax. Black = 3*140mm+120mm for blowing / 2*200mm+140mm for blowing Everything is quiet, stable and cold! I'll add later when I'm overclocking. (additions after a month. In brackets are additions to the review after a month of use) (And so I can say that the board is excellent, cold, stable! Especially after ating the BIOS to the A70 version, problems with controlling the turntables, both from the Dragon Center and in the BIOS, both in manual and automatic modes, have been fixed, it works as it should. Tweaked Game boost for the processor (the screenshots show that before the ate it was boosted to 4150, after almost up to 4300 it became more stable), although after the ate two XMP profiles appeared for the memory bars. One "curve" - does not see one bar, although all are displayed, but all the parameters on one are zero, when you install the second, everything is fine!) There are problems with the temperature of the processor, but here you need to figure it out, the temperature goes off scale according to the test, but in fact the cooler is a little warm and there is no throttling. I will run other tests Or check with a thermal imager. I'll ate later if there are any changes! I advise you to buy, they keep their series of motherboards from MSI on top) Shl / a couple of days after the addition. I tested it on Aide, everything is already stable here and I would say "cold", it kept excellent for several hours, without overheating, apparently Prime is too tough for testing! screenshot added! Now I am completely and 100% satisfied (I still need to play with the timings)

Pros
  • "Cold"! Without (unnecessary for me) "childish" illumination! Excellent location of the chipset cooler. Three places under M.2. 15-phase power system. Built for overclocking. (no change, indeed, even under full load in tests, the system is "cold" and stable)
Cons
  • Inconvenient fixation of the back panel, more precisely, it is not fixed at all, it just presses, but I had to tinker to install it evenly. For someone it will seem that there are few SATA connectors, for me it is not critical. The first time I encountered such a BIOS from MSI, I had to scratch my head. (I figured out the BIOS, it’s quite convenient. ate only through a USB flash drive and with a full BIOS installation - “by default”! I tried it a couple of times through the Dragon Center and both times the computer got into a stupor at the stage of loading posts, only resetting the BIOS helped)
