I build a lot of things out of pressure treated lumber, and it is always water logged when you purchase it. Numerous times, even after waiting many days, I will paint or stain it only to have the paint/stain bubble up a few days later from the moisture still in the wood. This little moisture meter will save me a lot of grief. I did a quick test and it seems to work fine.The meter is simple to use and the instructions do give testing info for various species of wood and for various materials like brick or concrete block.
