Bad product. Output voltage is not 6V as advertised.

I really wanted to like this product. It's the perfect size and price. I wanted to use it to light up one of my sci-fi displays so I don't have to keep changing batteries. But you get what you pay for, like most electronics these days. I have a string of mini LEDs that run on two CR2032 button batteries. Each battery supplies 3VDC and the light is VERY bright white. I wanted to power these fairy lights with a solar panel in a brightly lit room so they only glow when the lights in the room are on. Easy enough to do. Just replace two 3VDC batteries (ie 6VDC batteries) with this 6V solar panel and your Uncle Bob's brightly lit LEDs for my display! Unfortunately, the reality is that this solar panel is weak at best. VERY WEAK. I first removed the battery pack from the LED strip and attached a female DC power connector so I could easily connect a solar panel to it. This only resulted in a very faint glow from the LEDs. If it was 6v it should have fired the cord at least as well as two 3v batteries. Obviously not. I figured maybe the connector was causing a power loss so I removed both connectors from the solar panel and LED string and connected them directly together. Same result. Weak dim light from solar panel (see comparison photo of 6V battery and 6V solar panel). I even showed the solar panel a very bright flashlight to see if it was an ambient light source (although the product description says it works well even in low light). This increased the luminosity of the mini LED chain by only about twice that of the batteries. I put a solar panel on my ammeter and it only put out about 1-2 volts, and with a straight flashlight only 3 volts! And of course, since I had to do my own quality assurance on this piece of junk, I removed the stub, I can't get it back. never mind But that's cheap crap. Don't waste money. Really looking for it to work.
