Review on 🔧 Dorman 264-965 Engine Valve Cover for Compatible Models by Oscar Colangelo

This valve cover saves me at least $50-60 over other brands and the dealer. The quality is as good as the original. This particular one is better than the original as it has a redesigned PCV deflector. Only time will tell if this solves the common oil consumption problem of my Tahoe 07's 5.3 liter engine. I needed a new valve cover gasket so I decided to just replace everything with a redesigned cover. The only issue I have with this valve cover is the quality of the o-rings for the bolts. One of the rings was completely broken, see my photo. Luckily for the 5.3 I bought a higher quality Felpro seal kit that I trust and just replaced all the rings and seals. I highly recommend doing the same as quality control may not be done before shipping. Make sure you also tighten the 4 8mm screws to specification. I had 106 in/lb, so about 8 ft/lb if I converted and worked inside out. Much luck!
