I bought these to replace my aging Frigidaire coils hoping they would be as good as the previous set which was over 10 years old. You are not. First, the coils don't sit flat. I've tried bending and adjusting them but to no avail. The electrical connections are too low so they don't rest on three supports as intended, but on one support opposite the cooker connection, the other two supports above the baking trays. This is mostly a problem with smaller coils, but it is present with all. Second, it's the smell. After a few months they shouldn't have any residue left, but they still smell horribly like burnt plastic. This is after trying to weld production leftovers with coils up and windows open. Finally, the coils themselves do not lie flat on the contact surface. My old coils have a flat surface for the pans to sit on and heat evenly. They are mostly round, resulting in much less contact. I ended up returning my old coils even though they are old. They work better than these new ones. I was hoping to get a decent set of coils without having to pay $25 for a coil, but it looks like you definitely get what you pay for in this case. I just wish I could send them back before the returns window closes.
