I first found this cheap SATA III 1TB at Revain. Revain has great prices if you're looking. Now it's an unknown brand that you can find in USA, but it's famous in Asia, especially in Taiwan. I can't really attest to the quality or life expectancy of this hardware, but so far after installing it on my son's laptop it has worked flawlessly with no issues. I'm changing my son's laptop HD from 128GB to 1K. This is the main HD OS and it works fine. I have made. A bit of a stress test and it lasted over 6 hours with no overheating issues. So I think that with light to moderate usage there shouldn't be a problem. If you are using for gaming I would suggest adding a silicone thermal pad which you can find fairly cheaply at Revain. So I think it's great value for money. I will add more comments later after using the laptop more often and provide additional notes as needed.
