For use in pet fountains. This pump only has 2 suction cups, other pumps have 4. So you have to apply a lot of pressure to get a good grip. When the clutch is weak, 2 things happen: 1) the pump slips during the day and 2) it makes noise. Also, it heats water more than other pumps I've used. As long as the grip is good the pump is good and easy to adjust but I won't be buying another one.
