Quality, easy choice to replace Shimano 7 speed rear cassette. Shifts great! I bought my Trek 850 mountain bike new in 1996. In the meantime I have converted it into a city bike. After riding thousands of miles I replaced the worn chain and with the new chain the bike started to run WORSE. The chain jumped under the strong rotation of the pedals. This meant the rear cassette was worn out from mileage, sand and a stretched chain. I bought this item as a replacement. I'm totally impressed. With the new chainring and rear cassette, my bike shifts smoothly and like new. You will need a chain whip tool and a cassette retaining ring tool to install such a cassette, or take it to your local bike shop where they can also do it.
