    Worked well for about 2 years. The cord sometimes retracted, sometimes not. The thicker base used to hold the cord makes the iron large and unwieldy. Sometimes it "drips" onto my fabric. As a result, after 3 years he stopped working altogether. No matter what I did, it wouldn't start.     I bought this iron in July and have only used it 8-10 times washing shirts here and there. I immediately noticed that the handle is very hot and uncomfortable to hold when ironing, but I didn't really think about it.     I lived with this iron when I bought it in April. Weight, waterline clearly visible, excellent ironing of all the fabrics I ironed, I loved it! 5 months of ironing pleasure.     Difficult to use with strange smell

    The first step to using an iron is difficult. The filler cap has no tap and is very tight. I ended up using a spoon to pry it open only to find that the lid was not attached to the iron.
