Review on πŸ”§ TRENDnet Crimping Tool - Multi-Functional Ethernet and Telephone Cable Tool by Ashwin Chauhan

He has trouble with power tools and hand tools

There are a few things I didn't like about this crimping machine. First I bought it on Amazon's recommendation along with a 500ft CAT6 network cable. If you do the same, be careful and be sure to pay attention to the gauge of the cable. I bought 23AWG and the serrated part of the crimpers keeps biting the cable rendering it completely unusable. I am embarrassed that I did not check if the sensor is compatible, although there is no information in this product as to which sensors it supports. Second, it's a locking mechanism. Here you can see some reviews about it. It's very difficult to figure this out yourself as it has a misleading "unlock" button that does nothing and no instructions to explain the unintuitive behavior. Read one of the other posts to learn how to close the crimping tool. The third problem is that it has a pair of stripping blades on the opposite side of the cutting blade. But according to the packaging, the stripping knives are only for "flat cable" because the distance between them is very small. This renders the cutting function of the tool itself useless, as you cannot cut a CAT cable without biting into it with the narrow stripping blades on the other side of the tool. You must manually remove the razor blade with a screwdriver to keep the stripping blades from interfering with your cuts. I will send it back and get another one. Pay a little more and get one that won't interfere with your work.
