I was having problems with a previous DDR3 system running at 1600MHz dual channel, with some programs loading data on the fly, causing rendering and data issues. I was building an AMD system and wanted to make sure there were no more RAM frequency issues, 3600MHz DDR4 did the trick. At first I thought the heat shield was plastic, but it's a metal material and it actually works. I haven't tried overclocking as performance doesn't change much on AMD machines over 3600 anyway. So instead of increasing it and shortening the lifespan, I just set the BIOS to 3600MHz and left the timing algorithm stable. Works fantastic and couldn't be happier! The man makes this load fast!
