It's the same size as the Stanley FAT MAX, which makes sense as it's an 8 meter tape measure, which is about 26 feet. It has some nice features that you won't find in any tape measure: 1. It's marked and has a hook on both sides. Not sure what problem this solves, but the markings on the back are different, each 1/8" is spelled out, like "1/8", "1/4", "3". /8", . That's good if you don't have to read the scale every day and think about which division is 3/8, 5/16, or 1/4", but it's an interesting idea that I've yet to explore never tried and we will See how to do it 2. The main hook is magnetic If you're measuring steel for fabrication or otherwise in a ferromagnetic work environment, this can be handy, but it can be a pest to attack Sticks to your tools etc. and they may tear down the machine. On this point you have to decide for yourself. Both in inches (inches) and metric. This comes in handy for me because I switch between them often and don't like to worry about whether I have the right one. It also makes it easy to do accurate conversions without the calculator, which also pops up from time to time using the u key, like a clutch. to slow down the speed. I like this idea, but the ones I've had in the past haven't been entirely satisfactory. Let's see how it goes, but consider if a positive blocking model might work better for you. It breaks less and there are no accidental retractions from pressing the button. If there was a choice I would take a positive lock.5. The "metallic gold" finish isn't one you see often, and upon closer inspection it doesn't feel right to me; too much glamor for a workshop. I'm not sure what I was thinking, but I'm wondering if the chrome finish might not be a better choice. A nice high visibility yellow (box color) would have been even better, but that wasn't one of the options. The build quality is excellent, the smoothness, fit and finish are superb. The bracelet is a nice touch. Dropping it has over a 50% chance of bending the hook and knocking the gauge out, so having a reliable way to hold it in your hand is very welcome, especially since its size makes it a bit awkward to hold. Overall pretty good for this combination of features, but think about the features you want before committing to this one.
