Exactly what we were hoping for. The plastic is durable and easy to clean. The shield was also neatly folded (I was afraid it would get crumpled and dented, but that didn't happen). The velcro is also pretty strong so it won't fall apart if you don't want it to. My almost 5 year old daughter definitely prefers this over her face masks; She says she can breathe easier. I was concerned that the hat might be a bit small for her 5 year old head, but it *just* fits. She's happy, she's wearing it, I'm happy.
