I didn't have high hopes for it, I just hoped it would create shapes. It worked but I had to trap the voids to get the full shapes. The heat is inconsistent - some parts are burned while others are barely baked. The center of one of the molds was still raw and the outside was cooked - the other molds (cooked at the same time) were fine. However, they were very easy to clean. I wish it had a latch to hold the two pieces together while the waffles cooked - I had to stand there and hold them together with an oven mitt (it gets hot!). The instructions say to fold the top down when cooking, but there was never a latch - I couldn't even see putting one there. I'm not disappointed I bought this, I'm sure I'll be using it when the grandkids come to visit, but I'm not sure I like it enough to recommend it.
