So changing this out is not bad to do on your own. The parts were a perfect fit for my 2000 yamaha F100TLRY, I had never touched an outboard motor but there are plenty of videos online to help you get this one accomplished. Be sure to check your water lines, mine had chunks stuck in it from an impeller that had fallen apart some time ago, because the impeller I replaced with this kit was actually in good shape. I bought it used so there ya go. If you're doing this for the first time you may not think to check this. Good luck!
