Still the best router/WAP for Tomato

I recently wanted to install a new version of the Tomato USB firmware on an e2000 and fully expected something would go wrong, so I got a replacement e3000 for it. The real reason I wanted to do this was to have a second radio that I could use to run the 40MHz N network and the 20MHz B/G network and not have any conflicts. Installing the tomato USB firmware was trivial and involved downloading the firmware. for e3000 and perform a software update via the e3000 interface. The reason I like this firmware is that I can do whatever I want with it, but not with stock firmware, at least not that simple: VPN (client and server), VLAN, guest networks, SNMP information, good QOS , traffic forms, just to name a few. Although this firmware has nothing to do with the actual product, it was the firmware that made me purchase this particular router. What didn't particularly interest me about this guy was the N-network signal strength. I can be 40 feet away from him and get a terrible signal from him. I'm in the 5GHz band, which is obviously contributing to the issues, but I can't help but think an external antenna would help. Other than that, I like the look of this thing, but in the end I'd rather have a better signal. Finally, for the price, this is the best router to install tomatoUSB. on the. It can be purchased for less than $100 and has a dual-band radio. It has been used for some time, so if you encounter any problems, many people can help you. Definitely recommend it.
