Review on Dorman 973 540 Blower Resistor Harness by Mark Gilbert

The resistor pack itself is fine but I will be using it again in a few months. maybe next summer. One of the wires in the harness is too small so there is a chance it could burn out - I replaced it with a thicker one. I wonder how many fractions of the money was saved by using thin wire. Change on this wire. I had to disassemble the connector - after all, there's a white latch that can be pulled out, and the crimped wire can't be opened, meaning it was soldered. On union nuts - thin again; Only one of them is suitable for making connections, like the others, the wire for crimping cannot get into the metal sleeve. I simply twisted the wires, soldered them together and put on the electrical wire nut. Then I put the harness in the box's connector and couldn't unplug it, it got so rigid - at least it should make good contact and not burn as others have lasted 23 years. All in all I would buy it again if I had to replace the wiring harness - yes that's the only way to get a new connector. But also make sure you have the right spare pins and the right crimp cap nuts.
