But it works. - Wind Sculptures and Spinners

Ok I really like this spinner but there is a problem. It does not rotate when assembled as shown by the seller. If you assemble it this way it will want to spin backwards and this will unscrew the rod (which is screwed together) and it will break. I got lucky and caught it before it completely unscrewed. Also, it didn't rotate well when assembled as shown in the seller's picture. Now I have a couple of spinners and live in a very windy area. The lack of wind was not a problem. My son looked it over and found that when he adjusted the leaves 180 degrees from what is shown in the seller's picture (see the photo I've attached to see how I have it now assemble), not only does the rod turn in the right direction on the thread, it also turns a lot more. I would recommend this spinner if you don't mind assembling it like in my picture. Apologies for the night photo but I had time at the time and just wanted to show how it looks assembled and working. As far as build goes, it's good for the amount of money it's worth. Be careful not to force it together. You may need to use a nail or awl to remove solder from the holes where the blades and butterflies attach. It's also a nice little spinner. I would only give it 3 runs but I like it too much.
