Review on 👟 Altra AFM1953G Superior Trail Running Men's Shoes and Athletic: Performance and Comfort Combined by Scott Galloway

I rode about 15 miles in these shoes and enjoyed them. They are unlike any other running shoe I've ever owned. Lots of space in the toe area and well thought out. I would recommend going half a size down. I wear a 9 and had to go back for an 8.5 and still have the distance from my toe to the bottom of the shoe that the manufacturer recommends. Good cushioning for trail running. I also use them for mountain biking, why not? As previous reviewers have pointed out, the laces are a bit too long (but still good quality laces). I'm just trying to remember to triple knot them to loosen up and not have any problems. I'm not deducting a star for anything. However, there are a few characteristics that I don't understand about shoes. There is a small rivet near the toe of the shoe where the laces start. I'm not sure what its function is. And second, the heel of the shoe has velcro and a tongue that you can open and put back on, I'm not sure what it's for. Maybe someone will enlighten me. But I think they are good shoes. These are my first running shoes so I have no comparisons. But it's comfortable and I've wet them, they still work great with no issues. Would buy again if this pair held me up.
