I've had a 2005 RAV4 for several years and while I noticed that my left fan (when viewed from the front) never worked, I figured it was simply because the engine never ran hot enough to run this justify operation of the auxiliary fan. I tow (trailer, my boat) in Texas so this summer I figured it never worked. After some research, I found out that when the AC is on, both fans always work. I pulled out my multimeter and found that the fan was actually getting voltage but not working, so I decided to buy this fan. What I like about my RAV4 is that almost all the work I had to do was pretty quick and easy. This was no exception. While you may need to remove or loosen some parts, I didn't spend more than an hour removing the old fan and installing the new one. Four screws, one cable connector and that's it! Fan otherwise it fits well and it works. No problems (so far).
