Great knife. This knife is thicker than many other knives. It has become my workhorse in the kitchen. It holds an edge and is easy to sharpen. After 4 movements of the Work Sharp in each direction I had an edge so sharp I cut my finger wiping the blade. There is some discoloration on the blade. But I do not care. I grind things with him. Don't enter a beauty pageant. My only minor complaint is that the wooden handle had to be fitted with a boos lock. I try to wash and dry after each use. I put some oil on the blade to keep it from rusting. For the price and as versatile as this knife. I highly recommend this knife.
