This is probably my fifth portable water item for my dog! I had 2 collapsible bowls that lost their strength over time(?) and kept collapsing, even with water in them! I had a bottle with a cup attached but it kept leaking! My other water bottle was good but my dog hated the trough! I do not know why. This is ideal as it is sealed and the water returns to the bottle. No wasting water or having to refill because I have to dump the water out every time my dog is done drinking! Also, my dog is a cavalier and she has long ears. This bowl is just the right size. Not too wide so his ears don't get wet while drinking. One downside is that I wish there was a button with a lock so I don't have to constantly squeeze the bottle to keep the water in the bowl! My dog drinks quite a bit and looks at me like this when I have to let go of my hand to rest!
