I originally bought this product for my freshman student because her dorm bed was too high and at 5'11" she had trouble climbing into her bed. She loves this stool. She loves that she can fold it up and tuck it under the bed when she doesn't need it and pull it out and open it when needed. Trouble is, he says it holds "up to 300 pounds." I'm a tall girl, over 200lbs but definitely under 300lbs and when I stood on it to hang her curtains it broke in the middle. I don't know if it was just me or the stool we had, but it couldn't withstand "up to 300 pounds." I would suggest that if someone taller wants to stand on it they need to stand with their feet closer to the outside edges where the bottom supports are and not in the middle where there is no support. Maybe change the description to say up to 200 pounds then I wouldn't expect the chair to last.
