When buying small kitchen appliances, I usually go through a lot of product tests for various winning features and tips. It has a lot that I like; The large 1.5 liter capacity easily gives me (4) 16 ounce mugs of tea, the glass carafe makes it easy to measure when it's full and tells me when it's low, the base is easy to close to operate and the carafe swivels so you can use it any direction (I'm left handed so I like having the handle on the left side of the base) the color options are great, my kitchen accent is orange to match my favorite Le Creuset orange kitchen towels and linen. , the handle is soft and the full length of the carafe compared to the short one. The only feature that other tests say is important to be a little smaller is the hole in the top of the carafe, it opens but not wide and has a filter on the spout which can make cleaning difficult. I end up using a soft foam sponge to get into the carafe as my hand can't fit in the hole. very warm/hot but turns off automatically when temperature is reached. However, I would like it to stay warm for a period of time before it automatically shuts off.
