We wanted to get an electric fireplace for our basement. It is very cold in our basement and we need this type of fireplace for a great atmosphere all year round with or without heating. We love that we can wall mount it or install two plastic feet. We are happy with this choice, it's great! It's very stable when the legs are installed and looks great too. Niche installation is easy as the air outlet is at the front and at the top. You just need to have a big enough cutout and enough clearance for the air intake and then screw the chimney frame to it. The fireplace has a variety of flame effects to choose from, from modern colors to realistic ones. It's hard to decide what I like best. I like them all for different reasons. You can adjust the brightness of the flame and add the included glass beads for extra lighting effects. When we're watching a movie and we need less ambient light, we can use the remote control to adjust. The heat can be adjusted between 62 and 82 degrees Fahrenheit or turned off. I find it quiet when running on its own and will be even quieter when installed in my device.
