I already had one of those 12" combo squares but that was it without the goniometer and centering cap . In my opinion I needed both (I've had a Starrett combo before and as far as I can tell this is (a) at least as accurate and (b) this is heavier and VERY well made - and COMPLETELY the SUBJECTIVE impression of the Quality I get from this is slightly higher than what I got from Starrett (I still have it but I had a friend who does woodworking as a hobby and when we did projects together he gave it to me said many times how much he liked the Starrett. When he retired I gave it to him and he reports that it still works great so I DO NOT knock him out. And yeah there's probably no way The fact that this one a little over a third the price of a Starrett doesn't change my mind, when I get around to that I'll be buying the 24" version of this square and on the off chance I'll need another 12" K ombi square. I would definitely buy it again. I have also recommended it to friends and family. The only "picky" negative I can think of about this square is that my other square came with a certificate of calibration. It was not. But after giving them both to a friend who does mechanical engineering, he found NO problems with their accuracy (and must have liked it because he bought one after measuring mine). It's very accurate, very well made and durable - and it comes with a very nice case.
