I was primarily concerned with the accuracy of squareness, so I compared it to my Starrett Combo Square, drawing lines with a 0.5mm pencil and both sides, right and left, checked. Dead. The same with 45s. The markings on the blade are also precise and easy to read. As others have said; You get what you pay for. Way better than anything sold at hardware stores or hardware stores, but not in the Starret or PEC leagues at all. Well this is my first nice square. I have always used store bought squares but since my woodworking changed I wanted a nicer one. It's very difficult for me to get a ruler in a pen, as well as other attachments. The threads feel like sand on it, but after brushing with a steel brush and graphite, they are smoother. Overall this is a really good combo square and well worth the money. It has a well machined cast iron head and an easy to read brushed stainless steel ruler. The center finder is a really nice addition too and I love that with this tool I really only have to pick out three nits: 1) The blade isn't 100% perpendicular to the head.
