I'm tired of tripping over all the ethernet and power cords in my home office from my desk. Also, my OCD would go insane just seeing dangling wires. The buck stopped when my 3 year old ran in and tripped, almost knocking my new MacPro to the floor! POOH! -- So I looked for some good flooring to hide the cords and tried other products, but since my home office was carpeted, they just didn't lay flat and, frankly, smelled awful. "I hate the smell of cheap industrial rubber in the morning" - at least. They don't have an odd smell, they lay flat on the carpet, and you can just tell they're better quality than the ones I bought at my local Walmart.
