This is going to be a tricky install if you have 12-3 wires in your house. The lights have been designed so that most of the space - inside, where the cables connect to your wiring - is on the left. It would be better to design a light a bit larger with more room on the right side than try to fit the wiring inside with minimal space. That's why I deducted 2 stars. This is the only negative I can tell you after installing 3 of these in my kitchen. The lights have excellent performance and 3 lighting modes: 2700K, 4000K and 5000K. So in that sense. Turn off the switch first, then read the instructions. If you have a new home, you can use the cutouts on the back of the unit when installing these lights under a cabinet. You simply punch out a round hole, install a strain relief, thread a new 12-3 or 14-3 wire through the hole, and then terminate the device. In my case, I have an established home that was built about 25 years ago. So I had to drill a hole with a 1/2" drill bit that perfectly matched the original wire from my old fluorescent lights. I filed the edges of the hole and then attached a strain relief to feed the wire through the back of the bracket. I found it easier to lay down on a countertop to install.The lights come with a limited lifetime warranty and 3 color ranges that you can customize at any time with a switch external to the light on the other end, opposite the on/off switch.Plan about Allow 60 minutes per light fixture to properly install these lights, drill holes, and adjust fit if you already have a finished house wiring from old lights.
