Too small a hole to be useful.

It's a great price but when the gate is pushed all the way back the opening is only 1/4 inch which is next to useless for something so supposedly strong. 3/4" by cutting the end at an angle (not difficult if you have the right tools), but you still can't fit a regular tow chain. Even cutting back the gate won't do the trick. Everyday size links are 3/8". " wider than all internal widths. Virtually useless.
