This lint brush did a great job of penetrating and catching the accumulated lint. I was shocked at how much lint didn't get through the hinged lint filter. I always thought people put too much stock in dye machine fires due to lint build up, but now after using this brush I can see how easy it is for a spark to start a fire. **TO NOTE: Make sure you turn on the dryer and go outside to the vent where the dryer air exits the vent hose because although this brush has come loose and caught a lot of lint, my outside vent was outside my house a huge clump of fluff that was loosened with a brush stuck right in the vent.
